Last night in Calgary, something unusual caught my eye while I was outside having a cigarette with my boyfriend. At around 1:15 AM, I glanced towards the western sky and noticed what I initially thought was a shooting star. But then I realized it wasn’t just one light; there were two bright white pinpoints of light, about a centimeter apart to my naked eye, chasing each other across the sky.
These lights moved rapidly from the northern edge of my vision to the southern, disappearing after about 30 seconds. At first, I considered that they might be planes or satellites, but their speed and altitude didn’t match any aircraft I’m familiar with. They seemed too high for a plane but too low for a satellite. What’s more intriguing was the way they followed each other in parallel, almost as if they were chasing one another.
This sighting was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before. The lights weren’t flashing or blinking like conventional aircraft lights; they just shone steadily as they raced across the night sky. It was a surreal and thrilling moment that left me questioning what these lights truly were.
For me, this is the first time I’ve even considered the possibility of having witnessed a genuine unidentified flying object. It was a brief, mesmerizing encounter that has lingered in my mind, making me wonder what else might be out there, moving silently and swiftly beyond our perception.
