Strange Twin Lights Over Kelowna: A UFO Mystery Unfolds

On the evening of August 8th, 2013, in Kelowna, British Columbia, I was at work with two co-workers when something unusual caught our attention. Between 8:00 and 9:00 PM, a brilliant light appeared in the western sky, moving steadily eastward overhead. As it passed, we noticed a second, dimmer light trailing closely behind it, keeping a consistent distance as they moved together. Initially, I thought the bright light might be the space station, which was expected to be visible that week, but the trailing light was unlike anything we’d ever seen accompanying it.

Later that night, between 10:30 and 11:00 PM, I witnessed the same phenomenon again: the bright light followed closely by the less intense one, maintaining the same relative position. The repeated sighting left me and my friends puzzled and intrigued.

Adding to the mystery, approximately a month earlier, I observed an unusual cloud formation high above the normal cloud line. This cloud was circular with white streams trailing behind it, moving against the direction of the surrounding clouds. It steadily rotated in the sky, with the trailing streams turning in unison until it disappeared from view. That strange formation still lingers in my mind as a curious prelude to the lights we saw on August 8th.

As someone who avidly listens to Coast to Coast AM, I’ve heard similar reports about mysterious lights in the sky. When I learned that others had sighted these two lights on August 8th, I felt compelled to share our experience from Canada. Strange phenomena like these stoke the fires of wonder and invite us to question what lurks beyond our everyday perceptions.
