Silent Triangle UFO Over Kamloops: Witnessed by Police and Dozens at 500 Feet

As I live just above a bustling hotel nightclub in Kamloops, BC, I’m used to the nocturnal noise that stretches into the early morning hours. But nothing could have prepared me for the extraordinary sight that unfolded on October 9, 2015. Around 3 AM, a cluster of bar-goers erupted into excited shouts outside the bar nearby, their voices rising with an intensity I hadn’t expected at that hour. Curious, I looked toward where they were pointing—a brightly illuminated triangular object hovered low above the tall building across the street.

At first, I assumed it was a plane preparing to land at our local airport; after all, this exact sector of the sky is a common flight path. But this wasn’t any aircraft I had ever seen. It moved too slowly, almost eerily so, and seemed to hang suspended a mere 500 feet above the ground.

The crowd quickly grew, with nearly 50 people gathered in the street, their buzz of exhilaration mixed with confusion and awe. Among the witnesses were three officers from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, whose police cruiser pulled up amid the gathering, lights flashing. The presence of the police didn’t seem to unsettle the craft; in fact, it appeared to acknowledge our attention. The triangle remained perfectly still for what must have been two minutes or more, its lights intensifying until the glow was twice as bright, casting an otherworldly hue over the scene.

Estimating its size was difficult—the rear of the craft was obscured by the high-rise across the street—but it seemed massive, at least 200 feet from tip to wide end. The silent giant held still until two additional RCMP vehicles—with sirens wailing and lights flashing—arrived to reinforce the scene.

At that moment, as if triggered, the triangle’s radiant lights instantly extinguished. It then accelerated rapidly toward the airport, moving fast and completely silent—an impossible feat for any known aircraft. The experience was surreal; intoxicated bystanders and hardened officers alike were united in disbelief.

This encounter was unlike anything I’ve experienced, a moment that lingers on with a blend of wonder and mystery. A massive, glowing triangle, so close and silent, witnessed by dozens and acknowledged by law enforcement—the kind of event that challenges what we think we know about the skies above Kamloops.
