Silent Circular UFO Over Edson: Mysterious Lights & Jet-Like Nozzles

Late one clear December night in 2002, just past 1:30 AM, I was leaving a friend’s house 7 kilometers east of Edson, Alberta. The sky was embroidered with stars and the northern lights shimmered softly — a breathtaking and serene backdrop. There were no distracting lights around except for the house itself; no yard or Christmas lights to break the darkness.

That night, something extraordinary caught my eye. I noticed aircraft lights moving to the south, probably a jet taking off from the local airport nearby. I felt an uncanny pull and found myself looking straight up at what appeared to be a large circular object hanging silently in the sky. This wasn’t moving; it hovered there, still and resolute, for about four minutes.

From my vantage point, I estimated it was roughly 100 to 400 feet above, circling quietly. The object was ringed with a glowing rope of bead-like lights that formed a perfect loop around its circumference. Four distinct gaps punctuated this luminous circle, and from each gap, a structure reminiscent of jet nozzles extended outward and downward. These nozzles emitted a curious substance—not steam, smoke, or light, but something elusive, almost ethereal.

The eerie silence and stillness of the object laden with these nozzles made the moment feel surreal. I watched, transfixed, until I decided to get into my car. Only later did the full weight of what I had witnessed settle in. To my knowledge, no one else saw it that night, and I’ve kept this eerie encounter to myself until today.

This event remains a profound mystery to me—an encounter frozen in time beneath the star-speckled Canadian sky. Has anyone else witnessed such a silent, illuminated craft, marked by jet-like nozzles and hovering motionless in the night? The question lingers as much as the memory.
