Mysterious Lights Over Nuevo Laredo: A 20-Minute UFO Encounter

On a clear morning in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, I was driving when I stopped at a traffic light. As I waited for it to turn green, something caught my eye. High in the sky, about 30 to 40 degrees above the horizon, I saw eleven brilliant lights clustered in an uncanny formation. The temperature was a mild 78 to 80°F, and the sky was pristine, without a single cloud in sight.

These weren’t ordinary lights. They were shaped like glowing dots, each surrounded by a subtle halo or aura that gave them an ethereal presence. The lights appeared in three distinct clusters – three at the top, four in the middle, and four at the bottom – arranged with an odd symmetry, almost deliberate. Occasionally, one or two of these lights shifted position between clusters, moving up or down with smooth, deliberate grace.

My eyes were glued to this strange spectacle for nearly ten minutes. When I ran to fetch my camera, the lights had already vanished. Not alone in witnessing this phenomenon, my wife and our maid saw the eerie scene unfold as well.

Later, at my office, I climbed to the rooftop with an employee. There, we saw one of the lights darting from north-northeast to south-southwest at an astonishing speed, easily ten times faster than a jet cruising nearby. The contrast between the mundane jet and this enigmatic light highlighted its extraordinary nature.

Some locals claimed the lights had been visible since early morning, around 8:30 AM. The strange luminosities left us all with a deep sense of wonder and a lingering question about what we truly saw that day. Was it a natural phenomenon, a secret aerial craft, or something otherworldly? Whatever it was, it marked a memorable and mysterious moment in the skies of Nuevo Laredo.
