Mysterious Disk with Shifting Lights Over Phoenix Leaves Witness Baffled

On the night of July 25, 2001, as I drove home through the quiet streets of Phoenix, AZ, an extraordinary sight caught my eye—something I had never before witnessed. Traveling east on Hatcher Road towards my home on 19th Street, near the Dreamy Draw area, I spotted a disk-shaped object glowing vibrantly in the sky.

At about 11:15 PM, this strange craft hovered roughly 200 feet above the ground, just three blocks away. It resembled a blimp, but unlike any blimp I’d ever seen: it was adorned with multi-colored lights that continuously changed hue, pulsating with a surreal glow. The object moved faster than any blimp should, cutting a northeast path across the mountain range.

I even thought it might land on my roof, such was its proximity, but instead it slid silently onward into the night. At 56 years old, a grandmother to twelve, I found myself utterly mesmerized and compelled to reach out for answers. My call to the Phoenix Police led me to Sky Harbor Airport, where I was told no blimps were in operation that night.

From there, my search for clarity continued, driven by a deep curiosity about this rare encounter. What was this glowing disk slicing through the July skies above Dreamy Draw? For hours, the mystery hung thick in the air, challenging the boundaries of what we think we know about our skies. This experience has left an indelible mark on me, a haunting glimpse at the unexplained that still sparks wonder and questions.
