On the night of July 4th, 2012, at around 10 PM, something unusual unfolded over Daytona Beach, Florida. I was standing near the 1300 block of North Atlantic Avenue when I noticed a glowing circular object hovering about 1.5 miles to the south, just off the shore of the Atlantic Ocean. Its eerie aura, a soft haze surrounding its shape, gave it an otherworldly presence that was impossible to ignore.
Over the next 30 minutes, the object didn’t just appear once; multiple circular lights manifested, floating silently in that dark summer sky. They followed a deliberate flight path, moving eastward and vanishing mysteriously beyond the horizon. The rhythm of their dance was unnerving yet mesmerizing, like a cryptic message etched across the night.
I managed to capture a single photograph showing two of these enigmatic circles glowing against the backdrop of the sea and sky. Despite the fleeting nature of such encounters, this experience left an indelible mark—a reminder that there are forces and phenomena beyond the ordinary, lurking just out of sight.
If you were in Daytona Beach on that July night and witnessed something similar, you know exactly what I mean. These fleeting bursts of light challenge our understanding and stir the imagination, beckoning us to question what we think we know about the skies above us.
