On June 10th, 2007, around 5:50 pm, I was playing baseball in east Scarborough, just 20 minutes east of Toronto, near Pickering. The park, close to Lake Ontario, provided a clear view of the eastern sky. That’s when I noticed a dark, rectangular object hovering silently against the bright afternoon sky. I quickly alerted about 10 to 15 friends—none of whom took UFO discussions seriously—and we all watched in amazement.
The object appeared roughly 5 to 10 kilometers east along the shoreline, possibly near the Pickering power plant. Despite being about half an inch long and an eighth of an inch tall from our vantage point, it seemed to hover just a few hundred feet above the ground, remaining completely still for the entire 15 minutes we were at the park.
Its shape was unmistakably rectangular and black in color—not the typical disc or spherical form often associated with aerial anomalies. It was definitely not any conventional aircraft, helicopter, bird, balloon, or kite. The weather was clear with just a few clouds, making the dark silhouette stand out starkly against the sky.
This mysterious rectangular object was an unforgettable sight—silent, stationary, and enigmatic—capturing the attention of skeptics and believers alike. Such a vivid encounter in the Scarborough skies leaves me pondering the mysteries that fly just beyond the reach of our understanding.
