Metallic Disc Flashes Into Existence Over Winnipeg – A Chilling UFO Encounter

While driving southbound from Stony Mountain Institute along Hwy 7 near Winnipeg, Manitoba, an extraordinary event unfolded before my eyes on a clear, cold day. The sky was a bright blue, the temperature biting at around -18°C. I was approximately three miles north of the Perimeter Hwy and Highway 7 cloverleaf when, without warning, a disc-shaped object suddenly flashed into existence directly ahead—about 45 degrees off the southern horizon and estimated at roughly 3,000 feet altitude, hovering just above the cloverleaf.

What struck me immediately was the strange lighting: the east side of the disc shimmered with a bright metallic gleam, while its west side remained dark and shadowy, defying expectations since the sun’s position should have lit the opposite side. The sudden appearance was startling, as if the object had blinked into being through my windshield, and just as suddenly, it vanished after about five seconds.

I quickly pulled off onto a side road and stepped out, scanning the skies intensively. No trace of the metallic disc remained. Strangely, there was complete silence—no hum of air traffic, which under such crisp weather conditions would usually carry for miles. After a moment, I got back into my car and continued down Hwy 7, but the sky revealed no further glimpses of such strange craft.

This fleeting encounter left me with a haunting impression of something beyond our normal perception—an inexplicable flash in the frigid Winnipeg sky that defied explanation, yet remains etched clearly in my memory.
