While pulling out of my work parking lot in Salt Lake City, I noticed what initially looked like a greyish-black kite in the sky. As I drove past some buildings, I realized this was no ordinary kite. Far above the city and heading towards the mountains, the object’s color almost camouflaged perfectly with its surroundings. The craft was large, resembling a square turned on its side to form a diamond shape, with three smaller crafts clustered closely behind it. Suddenly, it disappeared from view.
About 15 minutes later, while merging onto the freeway, I spotted it again. This time, it was traveling southwards, moving over the cities of Murray, Sandy, and Draper. I was on the phone describing this eerie sighting to my husband, trying hard not to let it distract me from the road. It was surreal and deeply unsettling—an experience unlike anything I’ve encountered before.
This wasn’t my only strange sighting recently. Just a week before, my family and I watched a star-like object moving across the daytime sky. Later, we spotted a flashing object that added to the mystery. These encounters raise questions about the unexplained phenomena potentially lurking above our everyday lives. For anyone fascinated by the mysteries of the skies, such experiences remind us how much there still is to discover beyond what meets the eye.
