One warm, cool night in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, under a vast canopy of stars, my friend and I were walking eastwards along an empty road. The silence was almost complete—no cars, no voices—just the quiet hum of the night. Out of nowhere, a piercing feeling gripped me, as if unseen eyes were watching. Then I looked up, and there it was: a bright, glowing orb hovering just 30 to 40 feet above our heads.
The small orb was no larger than a beachball, surrounded by a radiant white light that cast an ethereal glow around it. We were struck by shock and disbelief, frozen for a moment as the orb seemed to follow our every move. There was no fear, just a strange mix of surprise and excitement fueling us as we began to run.
Its aura shimmered like a haze, and as we sped up, so did it. In a sudden burst of speed, the orb shot away toward the south, vanishing into the darkness at an impossible velocity.

Now, as grown men, successful businessmen and fathers, that night still holds its grip—a haunting reminder of something beyond the ordinary, an unexplainable moment etched into our lives. This glowing orb, so vivid and surreal, continues to spark our wonder and curiosity about what unknown forces roam the night skies of Sault Ste. Marie.
